Your First Consultation
Here at emBeauty, we will arrange an initial meeting with you to sit down and discuss your requirements. This is done to ensure that we deliver your desired results. During this consultation, we will discuss all the details of the procedure, including what shade of colour will be used. You can even bring your favourite lipstick to show us the colour you are looking for!
Our Aquarelle Lips service is carried out by experienced technicians all of which have had extensive permanent makeup experience, so you can rest assured your face is in safe hands.
The Aquarelle Lips Process
Aquarelle Lips work to enhance your current lip colour with a natural opaque pigment. Our highly-trained technicians create a ‘soft’ look that will suit your face shape and features.

Aftercare
After your procedure, we ensure that you’re provided with high levels of aftercare advice, including information on steps to take after your treatment. Each client’s healing process may vary depending on the individual, however, we advise that you should allow around 10 days for the healing process to take place.
We suggest that you will see the finished colour at its best after around two weeks of your treatment.

Aquarelle Lips Treatment Contraindications
We cannot treat you if:
- You are under 18
- You have diabetes
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding
- You have glaucoma or taking blood-thinning medicines (e.g., aspirin, warfarin)
- You have skin diseases such as psoriasis or eczema
- You have transmittable blood conditions like HIV or Hepatitis
- You have a haemophilia
- You have healing disorders or uncontrolled high blood pressure
- You are on any skin medication such as Accutane or steroids
- You have active skin cancer
- You undergoing radiotherapy or chemotherapy (consult your doctor)
- You have epilepsy
- You have a pacemaker or major heart problems
- You had Botox in the past month
Initial Consultation
Your first consultation is free, but you will then be required to pay a £50 deposit to book and secure your procedure which can be paid online. Once the £50 deposit is paid please contact the salon with your reference number to book an appointment. This amount is then deducted from the final price.
The deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE.
You will be asked to fill in consent/medical forms before your initial consultation. Consent/medical forms can be emailed to you to complete and can be returned to us when you visit the salon.
Also, let us know if you have or have had any allergic reactions to topical anaesthetic.
A patch test must be applied minimum 24hrs before your treatment.

Advice for Before Permanent Makeup Removal
Before The Procedure...
- Do not tan or have a sunburned face
- Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E or Ibuprofen 24 hours before
- Do not drink alcohol or caffeine on the day of the procedure
- No waxing or tinting 3 days before the procedure
- No IPL laser hair removal should be performed during the 2 weeks prior to your procedure
After The Procedure...
Proper care following your enhancement is necessary to achieve the best results.
- Please wash your hands to prevent cross-contamination before touching your lips.
- First day: Wipe your lips with a wet cotton pad every 30 min. do not put any creams on.
- Second and third day: dry healing – do not put any creams, vaseline etc.. Expect your lips to be very dry.
- Fourth day onwards: you can apply a bit of Vaseline for your comfort.
- Do not pick or pull at the treated area as it will result in pigment loss and can cause scarring. Itching is normal.
- DO NOT rub, pick or scratch the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate away.
- Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 3-4 weeks after the procedure and later always use sun protection on your lips.
